Great Canadian Entertainment announced on Tuesday that the hotel at the company’s recently unveiled resort in Toronto is now open. Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto officially opened its doors in June and now guests can also stay at the property when playing some slots or table games.

The $1 billion Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is now the largest casino property in the country and one of the largest private sector projects in Ontario. The unveiling of “The Hotel,” as the new facility is officially called, is another step in the resort’s unveiling.

“Blending modernity, comfort, and excitement under one roof and just minutes from Toronto Pearson International Airport, The Hotel at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto offers 400 well-appointed guest rooms, with nearly half boasting breathtaking views of the legendary Woodbine Racetrack,” the company noted in announcing the opening.

The company also announced a new deal with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay for a new restaurant at the property, bringing some of his restaurants to the country for the first time.

Another Major Addition for Toronto Property

Guests heading to Great Canadian Toronto will now find rooms and suites with accommodations ranging from 400 to 840 square feet. Each room includes modern amenities such as large-screen smart TVs, in-room safes, complimentary Wi-Fi, mini fridges, and more.

“Prestige suites” are also available with additional features, boasting separate living rooms, fully-equipped bars, and a more spacious bathroom.

Even more is in the works for the hotel. Great Canadian Toronto will also soon unveil a wellness area in the coming weeks. The dedicated space includes a fitness center, heated indoor pool, hot tub, and steam room.

The new Toronto casino includes 328,000 square feet of gaming space, including 4,800 slot machines, 145 table games, exclusive VIP rooms, and sports betting kiosks. The casino is located on 33 acres adjacent to Woodbine Racetrack and will also unveil a 5,000-person live entertainment venue in the coming months as well. The venue will host live music, comedy, sports and special events.

The property’s new poker room opened in July. The facility features 30 tables on a completely private floor with electronic table games and slots also available. The room is expected to hold major tournaments in the coming years. Overall, Great Canadian expects the Toronto resort to generate more than $500 million in economic impact for the area.
