BetMGM recently announced a multi-year partnership with the NHL to feature league and team-branded casino games, VIP fan experiences, and sponsored branding in national broadcasts. The platform also continues as an official NHL sports betting partner.

The new agreement allows MGM to utilize NHL imagery for casino games and be featured during nationally televised broadcasts.

“Our partnership extension with the NHL enables us to enhance the BetMGM product and offer fans unforgettable entertainment built around the game they love,” BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said. “The NHL is more thrilling than ever – a symphony of athleticism, teamwork, and skill on skates. We look forward to bringing our customers exceptional live experiences and new content.”

BetMGM branding will be visible on nationally-televised broadcasts in the U.S. across the NHL regular season and Stanley Cup Playoffs. Hockey fans may soon see NHL-themed slots and other games possibly heading to casinos in Canada and on MGM’s online platform.

MGM also offers sports betting in Ontario, and the NHL deal could enhance those offerings as well – including Canada’s seven franchises.

“We are thrilled about our partnership extension with BetMGM,” NHL Vice President of Business Development Jason Jazayeri said. “The evolution of our partnership with BetMGM will focus on building unique and compelling fan experiences, as well as event activation and media programming all with an eye towards delivering exciting new ways for our fans to interact and engage with the sport they love.”

As part of the deal, BetMGM and the NHL also plan on putting significant emphasis on and resources int responsible gaming. That includes promoting the GameSense program, developed and licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

“Through the integration within BetMGM’s mobile and desktop platforms, customers can receive the same GameSense experience they have grown to count on at MGM Resorts properties nationwide,” the company notes. “This complements BetMGM’s already existing responsible gambling tools which serve to provide customers with an entertaining and safe digital experience.”

The company also boasts several other programs and tools to educate new and seasoned bettors on responsible sports wagering. BetMGM has become one of the largest sports betting and online gaming operators in North America.
